Psalm 51:6 –Surely you desire truth in the inner parts; you teach me wisdom in the inmost place
If “Truth” be told we all desire healing in our hearts, it is in the abundance of our hearts that the mouth speaks. The Hebrew translation for inner parts is parallel to the Heart. King David mourns over his sinful acts of killing Bathsheba’s husband Urriah and more over, it cost him the life of his son. David acknowledges his sin should not be excused. He knew from the womb his(inner parts) what was the right behavior to do instead he failed to obey what is lawful with God. David not only seeking forgiveness but he was seeking divine instructions. Can I ask you today, to use your sanctified minds and just consider David’s request for the Truth was a divine expectation of instruction to be internalized so that he may be taught the wisdom of God.
The sincerity and true self-discernment which God requires can only come of spiritual insight. Our spiritual discernment which is synonymous with the fear of Jehovah, in addition is the practical principle of right conduct. Where should backsliding children return, but to the Lord their God, who alone can heal them? Truth is necessary for the real healing to flow. David divinely teaches an account of the workings of his heart toward God. Those that truly repent of their sins, will not be ashamed to own their repentance. He is encouraged, in his repentance, to hope that God would graciously accept him. Surely you desire truth in the inner parts; to this God looks, in a returning sinner. God wants to place truth over your wounds. Where there is truth, God will give wisdom.
